"There are no borders, no prison walls, no doors that are closed to us when we pray."         Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors UK & Ireland

Current situations which need ongoing prayer
Continue to pray for an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia and that hostilities in Israel and Gaza will end. Pray for all who are injured, traumatised, homeless, and hungry and those bereaved in the aftermath of recent events. Listen to the news and lift up in prayer the people and situations which are spiralling out of control.

BMS World Mission works in fragile states and unevangelised communities, serving some of the world's most marginalised people. They also work with people on the move, supporting them on their journey from insecurity towards peace, or enabling them to remain in the nation they call home.
Baptists Together Home Mission  is all about helping Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities. It is the Baptist family purse, and each year the Baptist Union has an appeal to raise money for Home Mission.

Latin Link, Britain and Ireland, have over 100 workers sharing God's love and hope in 15 countries across Latin America and Europe using 3 inter-related programmes: Step, Stride and Stay.

London City Mission  LCM shares the gospel alongside the local church of London, equipping everyday Christians to lovingly bring a message of hope in Christ to those least likely to hear it.
Benfleet Baptist Church collects toiletries, knitted hats and scarves for the "Mission to Seafarers" who distribute parcels at Christmas to seafarers calling at Tilbury and other berths on the Thames and Medway.

Mark and Judith Woolley Mark and Judith Woolley are members of WEC International.

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen" 1 Peter 5:10-11

Open Doors UK & Ireland is the organisation founded by Brother Andrew who spent decades supporting presecuted and oppressed Christians by smuggling Bibles, raising awareness and making sure the persecuted church was not forgotten. Brother Andrew died in 2022 but for over 65 years the work continues, bringing hope to millions of persecuted Christians in almost 70 countries around the world. Persecution of Christians is at unprecedented levels (1 in 7 Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith). Click here to access Open Doors website and see how you can support and pray for those who follow Jesus whatever the cost.
