Easter at Benfleet Baptist Church

You may be wondering what is Easter all about. The shops are full of chocolate treats, bakeries have produced Hot Cross buns since January and children are occupied decorating eggs and hats. It seems only a moment since Christmas when you heard a Saviour, Jesus Christ was born as a baby. Easter is the reason He came so if you want to read more of the story of Easter, click here. The disciples were given the command to tell the story and thankfully it was recorded for us to read in the Bible. You may like to hear more so you are welcome to any or all of the Easter Services which are as follows:
2nd April 7.30: Maundy Thursday Bible Study and prayer at 7.30pm in the small hall.
3rd April: Good Friday service  with Communion at 10am.
5th April: Easter Sunday "Christ is Risen" celebrated at morning and evening services. Refreshments at 10.15 before the 11am service and 6.30pm.

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He is risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again."
Then they remembered His words. Luke 24: 5-8
